Draft Grades 2024
A strong set of quarterbacks backed up by a collection of consistent production WRs. However, questions stand around both Higgins and McLaurin for the future with Higgins having a team situational question, and McLaurin with a new QB situation. These WR1's sometimes fall behind to up and coming targets when the new QB's pick their favorite guy. Trey McBride is one of the most promising tight ends entering his third season. Combined with potential breakout rookies of Jonathan Brooks, Brian Thomas, and Ja'Lynn Polk this team sets a high ceiling that if attained, will return success.Â

Landing arguably the best dynasty QB prospect of Patrick Mahomes is always a strong start to any team. Combining that with Kyler Murray, a former Heisman winner who has seen NFL success and now has a strong supporting cast is doubling down at an important position. But from there the questions start to add up. Derek Henry is aged for a RB, especially in dynasty and is now on a new team. Garrett Wilson has not been showcased with Aaron Rodgers yet, the talent is there, but will the fantasy returns come through? Davante Adams is also a senior player and remains on a team with no true QB solution at the helm, this may highly restrict his ceiling. DJ Moore, Kyle Pitts, and Diontae Johnson will all be playing with new QB's as well. A lot of questions with hope for correct answers.

An absolute bonker collection of WR's between AJ Brown, CeeDee, Evans, and Deebo. Every one of these WR's is proven, playing with the same QB and team as last year. They will carry matchups many times this season. Dak Prescott when healthy can amass scores high on the QB scores of the week. Baker is a solid floor, but may fade out in some games to minimal points. Keon and Ladd offer longevity behind an already balanced class of receivers and could turn into studs themselves. The league is in trouble if they breakout because this WR core will be unbeatable. Luckily there is a chink in all armor, the RB's leave much to be desired on this team. If his WR's have a down week, it is unlikely the RB's carry him to victory.

There are plenty of arguments for Josh Allen to be the best dynasty pick possible in a 2024 superflex startup. Pairing him with Kincaid is an elite move and that combo will be deadly on plus matchup weeks. There is promising youth with Nabers, White, Downs, and Lloyd. But there is no measurement production from any of those prospects yet. Nabers has a high ceiling, but may be restricted by his current QB situation. Walker and Pollard are both solid RB's to own, but nothing to write home about. The boom or bust potential for this team is palpable. If all cylinders fire, it could spell immediate success. But the more likely situation is that this team needs a few more pieces before its ready to solidify a dynasty reign.

Built around the two absolute super stars of Christian McCaffrey and Amon-Ra St. Brown there is definitive evidence for this team to see immediate success. Jaylen Waddle disappeared in many games last season and wasn't the breakout people hoped, his ceiling will be limited as long as the cheetah across from continues to dominate the targets. There are no star Quarterbacks here, but Goff is serviceable with strong outings on a blossoming Lions team. Bryce Young has a lot to prove, if he can recapture some of his college stardom, there may be hope for a decorated career yet. Pickens and Ferguson may be the consistency producers to keep this team in each week.

A championship or bust is written all over this team. With an overall average age flirting over the line of 26 due to players like Stafford, Goedert, Kupp, and Mostert will impact the future strength of this team. However, the rookie draft will add plenty of opportunities to replace those positions and well timed picks and potential trade moves could really solidify this strong lineup. Hurts, Taylor, Olave, DK, and Nico are all the 1's of their depth chart position - this will translate to points right away in fantasy where touches and opportunities are everything. The Levis and Okonkwo combo could be a dynamic ADP value combo. Sutton may be the steal of the draft if Bo Nix takes a hyper target consideration to him as some of these rookie QB's do with their WR1.

This might be the all rookie team when it comes to NFL award season. Odunze & Williams could be the next Burrow to Chase combo. Anthony Richardson has the ability to break statlines with his rushing capability. LaPorta is the defacto favorite TE to own this dynasty draft season. Having both Pittman and Adonai could be a struggle, Richardson was somewhat limiting on targets for Pittman before his injury and we don't know what that passing game will look like this season. The running backs are mostly aging or in RBBC situations. That will likely be a position of need in future drafts. A position that shouldnt be of need anytime soon is QB. Williams, Richardson, and a late round steal of Drake Maye is a trio that could dominate for the next decade.

Quarterback is certainly lacking here with two aging veterans. There is hope for strong seasons from both Geno and Kirk, but the future is less promising. Jahmyr Gibbs is a stud and one of the most ideal dynasty running backs to own - that's value for years to come. Chase and London make up a strong 1,2 combo and should have lengthy careers. Trey Benson is an interesting piece given the ceiling could be strong, however production may be limited early on and the window for RB stardom may fade. Keenan Allen is a solid veteran to have on the team and helps to anchor down the consistency floor of this team.

Holding the Quarterback who once led the Greenbay Packers and the one who took the torch from him is a fun concept to acknowledge. Love looked like a breakout in many games last season and could prove to just as strong of a player as his predecessor. The running back core in this team is undoubtedly the best in the leauge - Saquon, Bijan, and Etienne will cause frustration for opponents on weeks they decide to combine for over 70 points between them. The WR core has some questions with new situations for Ridley and Diggs. There is a lot of age on this team as well behind Diggs, Kelce, Rodgers, Lockett and in RB years, Saquon too. Future longevity will require moves, but this team is ready to contend this year.

Next man up syndrome or being ahead of the curve on future stars? Time will tell which way the arrow points on that question. Breece Hall was a star in college, but NFL production has not been at the same level yet. Ideally Rodgers will bolster this. MHJ is an elite prospect with elite bloodline, he is expected to be the next WR star along the lines of Jefferson, Chase, and Amon-Ra. But most of those guys were picked in later rounds their original fantasy draft years. Investing a first round in MHJ is a gamble. Bowers looks poised to be a star along the rest of the top tier TE prospects of the past. Purdy is still a middling producer in many games and McCarthy may not start the year right off bat. With so many questions on this team, there will be much to evaluate this season. Jayden Reed looked to be Love's favorite target in his strong end of year run - this team needs that to stay true. If JSN can secure the WR2 spot over Lockett, a breakout might be coming.

Any team that is able to land both of their starting QB's number one targets is moving in the right direction. Lamar + Andrews and Tua + Hill will make for some impressive point stacks. The abundance of Cleveland players is an interesting move - it makes for a bad bye week problem in some eyes, but can also help get it out of the way in one take. The bigger problem is how all of those players can contribute on a weekly basis, on a down week for Cleveland it would cause Njoku, Cooper, Deshaun, and Chubb to all produce limited points. That many players not producing usually results in a loss. Kyren Williams was a waiver wire hero last year, but will he continue that or lose touches to Corum in a RBBC situation. If the Bears are pass heavy to show off their shiny new star, Swift touches may suffer. With plus weeks, this team will compete this year. But future years look grim until some youth gets injected into this roster.

Puka and Stroud had one year breakout seasons and taking them back to back round 1&2 is a massive gamble. Jayden Daniels is a promising young talent with rushing ability that translates directly to points in fantasy. Flowers will need to steal more targets away from Andrews in order to break through mild production numbers that have yet to break the low 20's. Worthy was a questionable choice at best for round 6 and a catastrophic draft blunder at worst. He goes to a team that already has favorite target of Kelce and a breakout WR1 of Rashee Rice. Even if Rice were to miss time, target share may be severely limited in year 1 for Worthy and if the most of those targets aren't made, he could fade into mediocrity fast. Legette is physical specimen and could produce strong YAC like Deebo Samuel does. But the Panthers stink and so far Bryce has too - is Legette capable enough to overcome those obstacles? The RB core is aging / may compete for touches. Troy Franklin paired with his college QB might be a steal. The bench is lacking severely and is likely to see heavy churn. The 2025 rookie draft should already be on this owners mind.
